Irish Bloggers Style for Karen Millen

Hey All,

I’m not going to lie to you, I’m feeling a lil’ bit dehydrated today… An impromptu wine-fuelled, blogger gossip was the cause; not that admitting that is going to remove the symptoms.

Before I found myself boozing on Dame Street, I was on Grafton St. running around Karen Millen helping out with a mini styling / shoot. They asked 6 Irish bloggers to pick a piece from a list of ten key items and style an outfit around it.

The final photographs will go up on the Karen Millen blog over the next few weeks… Until then here are a few behind the scenes shots ‘starring’ photographer Liam Murphy and model Laura Keohane at (Morgan The Agency).

I styled a couple of outfits and I’m not sure which one will be used. One included this pair of waxy-finish jeans with ankle zips and straps…

Tut tut, blogging about jeans of all things, have I no clue? But look at them… they will be mine…

I’ll post the final pictures when they go up.

EDIT: The final Photographs

Yours,

Whisty Xx

Keith Haring’s Footwear for Tommy Hilfiger

Hey All,

I needed a new pair of jeans; plain, simple, straight-leg blue jeans. (Yeah I know, zzzzz) But anyway, when the need to buy classic jeans comes round, I always go  for an American brand. Like J Brand, True Religion, 7 for all Mankind, etc. They always fit perfectly – they usually contain Lycra, they don’t fade, go baggy, or rip easily, i.e.  they last for time. The thing is, you get what you pay for with these brands, and what you pay is pretty big dollar.

So I decided to keep it US, but go a little less cash-drastic. Hilfiger Denim on Trinity Street, D2, ought to sort me out, and it did. I bought a perfect pair of dark indigo, stretch denim, straight-leg jeans with retro orange stitching.

But whatevs about the jeans, the store was showcasing the  fantastic new Keith Haring for Tommy Hilfiger footwear collection. Keith Haring was a New York graffiti artist who set up the Keith Haring Foundation. The foundation “supports organizations that assist underprivileged children, as well as organizations engaged in education, research and care with respect to AIDS and HIV“.

The collection, released last week, includes runners (trainers), wellies, flip-flops, ballet pumps and high-tops, for men, women and kids.

Incidentally, the Keith Haring Foundation is also collaborating with Nicholas Kirkwood; in case Wellington boots aren’t your footwear of choice…

Xx
