More Purple Deliciousness.

Purple is my colour of the moment. It was all over the AW09 fashion shows and I went a bit of a mission looking for some purple pieces earlier in the week. I came across this purple floral number in AWear. I actually think it has about 3 shades of purple in total and I love that it is in-between the tulip and lantern shapes. At 20 yoyo’s it’s also a bit if a bargain.

After my last 2 what I wear posts being pretty and feminine and this skirt reflecting the same style I decided to create a look that was a bit more edgy. I wore it with these Henry Holland Mock-Stockings, some driving gloves and a high-neck short-sleeved jumper.

Flowers in Fall

A friend of mine told me she was “headin down the country” this morning, so I jumped at the chance of a free lift as far as Liffey Valley. Oh New Look, why so far away? After my street style post I had been yearning for a floral Lycra dress and I knew that this particular shop would stump up the goods and satisfy my yearning.

I saw the perfect pretty flowery frock as soon as I walked in the store. Shocking pink with a black abstract rose print all over it. It is more like a long line vest really and is quite low-cut at the back plus, because it’s black it will last through the seasons, and at €15 that’s money for something alright. I dashed home and tried it on with a vintage cropped leather jacket and over-the-knee socks. Because it’s short I’ll be wearing it with trousers when it gets chillier.

Friday Floral Fashion

What with all this sunshine and the promise of more of the same fabulous weather all weekend – Slane here I come! – I absolutely could not resist this blue and green abstract floral skirt in New Look today. (€30). I adore the tulip shape, the chunky zip, the gathered detailing down each side that disguises two side pockets, but most of all this abstract neon green and blue rose print.

Perfect Summer Dress

I very rarely get to go to New Look as there isn’ t one in the city centre but when I do there is always something there that I adore. Today, as I wandered through their huge store at Liffey Valley, it was this incredible hankerchief-hem floral summer dress. The silhouette and cute floral print are bang on-trend for this summer and you can bring it into the cooler months by adding black opaques and a leather jacket, I Love pay-day shopping!Hanky-Hem dress €45 (!)
