The Vintage Fair Dun Laoghaire is Back

Hey All,

Just a quick note, I went to this last year and had a really good day. Explained, sort of, in a post here. (…how weird is it to look back at old blog posts?)

If last years’ event is anything to go by, then this weekend’s Vintage Fashion and Décor Fair at the Royal Marine hotel, Dun Laoghaire is a bit of a must.

There are literally hundreds (probably more) of things on dozens of stalls to look at and prices start at a really reasonable level and go up till you get to the really beautiful pieces.

I must say though, this is in no way a flea market. This is more like a whole retro experience. The setting alone makes you feel like you’re part of the Great Gatsby or something.

They have jive dancers (jivers?), a jazz band and a DJ with songs from way back when. Plus, if you’re thinking about getting the DART out, there’s also a retro cocktail bar…

God help my purse after a few Tom Collins’…

Red Dress & Last Days of Summer

Hey All,

I love the fact that Dublin is on the coast, sea air and Sundays are essential if you love here. Plus my two most favourite things about Dublin are in these photos; seagulls (though it’s more about the noise they make) and the candy-striped towers at Poolbeg. The dress is from Topshop; they have them in about 8 different colours, I just loved the red.
