Lily Allen – Statement Accessories

Lily Allen Statement Necklace and Long Gloves Lily Allen was out in London last night attending both the Hapers Bazaar Women of the Year Awards and the launch of  Matches Boutique. She wore a simple comprising a grey sweater and jeans, which were then accessorised to the max with a statement necklace and elbow-length gloves. Hair swept back and dark glasses on, Lily looked like a modern day Holly Golightly (again).

She must see the Audrey Hepburn character as her muse and I can’t think of a better look for her to channel, she looks great right now and maybe it was this vibe that helped her land the Chanel Coco Cocoon bags ad campaign?

Limited Edition Dress Perfection

Tiered belted leaf-print dress £40 limited edition I just wanted to say how much I love this dress… I love the ‘Autumn Leaves’ print, the 3/4 sleeves, the tiered skirt, the scoop neck and the wrap around studded belt. It’s all fabulous.

3.1 Phillip Lim has the dresses of AW09 but at £40 (read €55?) New Look have gone done a great high street version.

Go see Away We Go

Away We GoIt’s too beautiful.

I went to one of those preview screenings last night at Cineworld on Parnell Street, don’t you just love it when you go to see a movie and the only thing you know about it is the title and what time it starts? And then when it turns out to be something really special you almost wished you’d know how good it was all along just so you could build up the anticipation.

I’m not going to write any kind of review about Away We Go, I’ll just say that it is a road movie completely different from anything I’ve seen before and the acting is subtly exquisite. It opens at the Irish Film Institute (IFI) Temple Bar, Sept. 18th.
