Hooray for awards ceremonies! They mean lots of gorgeous peeps in delicious dresses on the red carpet and last nights Teen Choice Awards in LA was no different. With a guest list similar to the MTV Movie Awards earlier in the year, Hollywood’s bright young things showed us how it’s done.
No-one more so than the pretty and stylish Vanessa Hudgens in this gorgeous and slightly-modified-from-the-catwalk, Christian Dior gown. Yet again she scores top marks for a colour that looks fabulous on her and giving her hair just the right amount of laid back chic. I even like the nearly-matchy suede pumps as they work well with this beautiful designer dress.
I reckon this mini-trend pretty much speaks for itself. Whether you choose silver or gold to adorn your belt, you’re going to give an on-trend statement to an outfit by adding a chain-detail belt. I reckon these belts would work equally well with both pretty floral dresses or colour block tops. I couldn’t resist the Karen Millen one, (top left). You can just about see from this pic that there are 4 adustable buckles on it. It means that I can either wear it to cinch in the waist of an outfit on the smallest setting; or loosely on the hips for a more laid back look on the largest. I always have that dilemma when buying a belt; whether to go for the waist or hip size. This belt gives you both sizes! Whoop!
Monday August 17th sees the opening of a ‘pop-up’ boutique in the painfully trendy area of Cow’s Lane, Temple Bar. For the following 6 days we will be able to browse and buy “some of Ireland’s most cutting-edge collections” for AW09. I don’t really know too much about
