Fancy jetting off somewhere exotic this weekend but the pocket money is a tad short? Then head in to Wexford street and spend a ‘weekend away’ in Cuba. From this evening at 6 until the early hours of Sunday morning, Solas, Shine, Whelans and The Village, are hosting the Little Havana Wexford Street Festival. In a celebration of all things South American, dancers, bands and performers will hit the bars and the streets to bring some serious heat to Dublin.

What’s amazing about the weekend is that ALL the Little Havana events are FREE admission so we’ve no excuse not to get our hips moving and heels stamping to bands like the Cuban Jazz Project and The Cuban All Stars. The latter being Ireland’s only 100% authentic Cuban Band.

It’s not just Cuban music that we’ll be able to sample, but also Cuban food and, Joy of Joy’s, Cuba Libre’s and yummy Mojito’s will be in full flow! Delish! I for one fancy a spot of heart-pumping Tango and Salsa washed down with a splash of Rum or two! Who wouldn’t? Anyway, I’m off to get my Maracas, cha-cha-cha!!!
