The final episode just finished, and New York set the scene as one girl was eliminated after a mod-themed shoe shoot in the big apple. I’m defo going to miss the weekly musings of Erin and Ellis, their insight into the model industry and their genuine pleasure in mentoring the girls and seeing their confidence and natural talent grow. The three remaining girls were given an interview with a model agency in New York and it was clear from the highlights shown, that Amber impressed, Carrie-Anne was unprepared and Sharon was unsure and a little (endearingly-so) naive.

It was also clear that Amber (16) seemed to want the coveted prize of a cover shoot with Image magazine, and a contract with Independent Models, the model agency that Ellis is the director of the most of all the girls. It was Sharon Touhey who was the first to be eliminated just before we heard the shock news that Carrie Anne (19) was about to tell Ellis she was pregnant?! So surely that was it then…? The shoot for Image magazine took place in Dublin and two covers were designed up with each of the girls photos as their own cover stars.

Before the final announcement was made, both Ellis and Erin gave the girls one last pep talk before Ellis made revealed her choice.. She said that Amber had shown courage, determination and strength of character… Carrie-Anne’s confidence and personality had grown… and then it was Carrie Anne Burton’s Image Magazine cover that was shown on the big screen as she was declared the winner.

Her beauty shines through, she looked incredible. Congrats Carrie-Anne, I’m delighted with the choice!
